The Harrison Regional Chamber of Commerce will host the 17th Annual Arkansas Hot Air Balloon State Championship on September 7th, 8th, and 9th, 2012 in the magnificent Ozark Mountains.
This unique outdoor event that began in 1995 is held in beautiful downtown Harrison, Arkansas. The Festival will kick off on Friday evening with The Hare and the Hound Balloon Race. The event will continue on Saturday morning with more Balloon Race Competitions. The 2012 Blue Sky Art Festival presented by The Harrison Art League will be ongoing from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. on the Court House Square with over 30 Artist Booths, food vendors and live entertainment. The evenings events will continue with balloons tethered to the ground for the exciting balloon glow. Tethered rides will be offered to the public for $5.00. In conjunction with the tethered rides, there will be a CASA Kids Fest, with inflatables, pony rides, music, face painting, food and fun for the family. The event will continue through Sunday with several Balloon Race Competitions for all to enjoy. Come experience the "Hot Air Balloon Adventure" with us!
